Three Acts: Food, Family, and Tradition
Food is a basic need and an integral part of every culture. Over-the-Rhine has a rich food culture influenced by all the groups that have settled here, by restaurants with new and unusual offerings, and by local food vendors. The taste and smell of food brings back memories. Some foods turn into traditions. Many people are convinced that a holiday dinner is just not complete without BLANK. Blank being whatever they associate with a festive meal - something their grandmother made or a treat only purchased on special occasions.
On December 10th, the Museum will celebrate the place food holds in our stories with Three Acts: Food, Family, and Tradition at Memorial Hall. We'll talk about traditional recipes and foods that bring back memories. We'll offer tastings of some of the foods we discuss! We hope you will participate by sending us your recipes, memories, or stories about food in Over-the-Rhine.
